Good Morning Family!

I want to thank the men who took part in our flag pole dedication ceremony last week.  It was very moving as we commemorated those from our church family who honorably served and have passed on to be with the Lord.  I especially want to thank Dennis Rushing who utilized his many years’ experience as an MP to coordinate the military honor guard as we raised the flag.  Also, special thanks to John Dingman for assisting with the flag.  We appreciate the service as well of each of our veterans who took part in the honor guard.  Well done, men.

It was a great day as well last week as we gathered to conclude our morning worship service down at the Bridgeport Beach area.  It was a joy to be able to share together in the baptism of Ashley Williams.  Thanks to all who were able to come and be a part of that experience and support her commitment to Christ.  Shout-out to Sandy Stover for capturing the flagpole ceremony and the baptism for our livestream.  It was good to be able to bring our Facebook friends along for the ride last week.

Our WednesdayKids Ministry had their End of School Party this past week.  As always a great time was had just being with the kids.  I am so grateful for our Wednesday Ministry Team.  Each week, they gather to prepare food, plan the activities and lessons, and just love on the students in attendance.  It does indeed make a difference in their lives as they see the love of Christ shared through the many faces that help on Wednesday Nights.

As of this writing, my plan is to continue in our sermon series: “Foundations”.  I am hoping this is turning out to be a blessing to our church family as we walk through the essentials of the faith.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
