Good Morning Family!
A very eventful week was had in America. I just want to say one thing as we reflect on the government officials’ elections and our policy votes regarding amendments and such. It is a sad day for the state of Missouri to enact a right to unfettered abortion into the state constitution. It was good to know that Stone County was on the side of life as far as the vote on that amendment. We will continue to lift our voice for the children who cannot speak for themselves.
We were able to get our OCC shoeboxes packed up and ready to go this past Thursday and so that is exciting news as so many have worked so incredibly hard to make this happen once again. I will have a final tally for you this morning as I am writing this letter Thursday morning as we begin packing.
Thanksgiving at FBCCF is on its way! Now, of course thanksgiving should be an attitude of our every day lives. But, I am speaking of our annual celebration of the goodness and bounty of the Lord for His gracious providing hand. This year, as every year, we have much for which to be thankful and so I hope that you will join together on Sunday, November 24th as we will gather for our annual Thanksgiving Church Family Meal. Sign up sheets are in the foyer for those that can bring something to put in the meal. If you cannot, then simply come and be a part of this wonderful day in the life of the church.
Today, we will pick up in John chapter 10 where we left off last Sunday, as we dive back into the Gospels for our Journey through the life of Jesus.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
