Good Morning Family!

Today, we will attempt to finish up our current “The Way of the Cross” series.  We will tie together, as the Scriptures plainly do, our co-resurrection and co-ascension with Christ.  I hope you have received some great scriptural insights into this very important aspect of how we navigate and not only survive but thrive in our walk with Christ on this Earth.  In the end, it is all really about Him in us… living in us and through us by His Holy Spirit.

Now, next week the 23rd… and it seems impossible… is our Church Family Thanksgiving Service and Dinner.  It is always one of my favorite days of the year as we see and reflect on the blessing of the Lord in our church family over the past year.  New faces, new directions, and new ministries are combined and added to the past successes and relationships as the Lord continues to grow us deeper and more interconnected than ever before.

We also acknowledge our shared losses on this side of eternity of those that we love and miss.  But it is no cliché to say, Earth’s losses are Heaven’s gains.  And the truth is, one day all of Heaven’s gains will be ours when we are ushered into the presence of the Lord through death or departure.  And in that moment, all we have learned about the coming of the Lord and His plan for eternity will also be ours to live out.  What a thing to be grateful for; to know that we will be with the Lord as He enacts His plan for this Earth, His reign  on it, and His dwelling with us as His people forever and ever.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15.

Bro. Steven
