Good Morning Family,
What a wonderful day of celebration last Sunday was! There are just simply no words to describe our gratitude for how great of a job this church family does in crafting special moments together.
Special thanks to Mary Ann Curry for doing such fantastic work in making sure to set the tone through putting out the Fall and Thanksgiving decorations. The Fellowship Hall was so festive! So many of you remarked on how beautiful everything was.
Our Special Events Team led by Tracy Hudson and Kitchen Crew spearheaded by Judy Keel went above and beyond as always! Many thanks to such great groups of ladies who coordinated such a splendid meal. And massive kudos go to all who had a hand in cooking the meats, sides, and desserts which made for quite a Thanksgiving spread. Additional thanks go to Lori Munhollon’s Class who gave up their Sunday School hour to come to the kitchen with an assist on the finishing touches. Great job, everyone!
Today, we begin the First Sunday of Advent with our theme, HOPE. Seeing as how Advent starts a little early this year for us, we will be gathering this evening at 6pm for the “Hanging of the Greens” to more fully decorate the buildings for the Christmas Season. This morning, there are only a few things up for our start, but tonight we will complete the task as we “Deck the Hall” together!
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
