Good Morning Family,
Today, we will share together in several ministry transitions that are so special in the life of this church family. The leadership of this church has been so prayerful and constant in seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we continue to pursue ministry together to edify the Body and to reach out to our community as we fulfill The Great Commission.
At the conclusion of our lunch together, we will have our regular Business Meeting reports from the various ministries. This encouraging time always sets the tone for the next quarter of activities and reflects upon recent victories. Also, today as we approach year’s end, we will vote on adoption of the General Budget for 2024. The Personnel and Budget Planning Teams have worked and prayed diligently this Fall to put together a workable plan for 2024. The Lord has seen fit to bless FBCCF in some very extraordinary ways in 2023 as we follow His lead to build ministry for the coming year.
I am very humbled and grateful beyond words for the hearts of those who have proposed this budget and for the provisions for staff made this year in this budget as we move into our tenth year in our life journey together as pastor and church family.
Also, this morning, we transition in our Deacon Team. John Dingman who has served so incredibly faithfully for most of my time here as our Chairman of Deacons is turning over the mantle of leadership to Paul Winfrey. John and Linda have served above and beyond in so many capacities in the life of FBCCF since its inception. John is the epitome of what a deacon is and should be. He has been and continues to be the model for every man on our team and I know I can speak for each of them.
To be very clear, John is only transitioning from being chairman, he remains active as ever on our team. Serving alongside Paul now will be our first Vice Chairman of Deacons, Barney Munhollon. I am so thankful to have Paul, Barney, Gordon, and John as our group of faithful servant-leaders at FBCCF. It has been and continues to be an incredible journey with these guys.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
