Good Morning Family!
This morning, we will continue in a special message series entitled, “The Way of the Cross”. I hope through the coming weeks to show how important the cross is not only for our salvation, but for our sanctification. Sanctification is our ongoing process God works in our lives to make us more like Jesus and into the person He wants us to be.
I want to thank everyone ahead of time for the incredible work going into this wonderful expression of God’s love to our community known as the Annual Fall Fish Fry. It is said that “many hands make light work”. And so, I am very grateful to the many hands that are putting this together and for the mighty hand of God who has blessed us with the ability and resources to carry this out each Fall.
I am praying God’s blessing of attendance… we had 200 last year and are planning for more this time. It has grown each year, and I have heard a lot of “buzz” going on about it this year. I am praying that there is a good spirit of fellowship there for believers as well as those who may be attending that do not know the Lord. May they hear of His love and salvation as testimonies and stories are shared once again from the band along with some great music and fun. We also pray for good weather and safety for all in attendance.
I mentioned this last week, but will again… Since we are having the Fish Fry today, I simply cannot ask the church family to do a Business Meeting Potluck next weekend as scheduled on the 19th. So, I am moving the Business Meeting to the first Sunday of November… November 2nd. We need a “breather”.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
