Good Morning Family,

Today, Sunday October 17 th , we will have our Quarterly Business Meeting and share ministry progress together around a potluck luncheon. As I said last week and in a robo-call, we are going to continue with the sack lunch theme and then conclude with a Ministry Meeting near the end.   After initially thinking potluck, I returned to the sack lunch way of doing this luncheon at this point. Of course, as always, I’ll have some sandwich making materials there in the kitchen if you forget to pack a lunch. Also, if you didn’t “get the memo” as they say, you can make a sandwich here and we invite everyone to stay.

Sunday October 31 st is designated as First Baptist Church Fall Family Day. We are setting aside this Sunday to emphasize the community ministry of FBCCF as we will run the bus that morning and pick up as many community kids which we minister to on Wednesday Nights and have a worship service where we will do a few of the worship songs that they sing on Wednesdays and a special message on family.

Pray for us as we are also going out and personally reaching out to parents in the community to invite them to join us for worship to see what their kids are doing here at FBCCF and then encourage them to sit down with all of you at a wonderful Fried Chicken Luncheon that will be provided. It will be very important for the church family to stay, eat, and engage with our guests that morning and then at the luncheon. What a great opportunity for which we are praying!

The holidays are quickly approaching, and I consider the First Baptist Church Fall Family Day as the kick off to great season of great fellowship, upcoming impactful Sunday School lessons on gratitude and the implications of the incarnation, corporate singing of the songs of the season, and messages reflecting on the giving of thanks and the “Good News of Great Joy” that is extended to everyone!

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
