Good Morning Family,
What a fantastic Celebration Sunday we had last week! We have never had a power outage on a Sunday in the last 10 years and what a week for it! It did not slow us down one single bit. In fact, the Lord used it, I believe, to make the morning even more memorable. The outage was caused by a squirrel, I was told by Seth our resident lineman. At least 240 folks were without power just in our zip code. I also was told by the person on the Ozark Electric call line that morning that it went as far north as Highlandville. So, obviously we were not the only church to “go 1880’s” last Sunday.
It did cause those who normally join us by Facebook to not be able to be a part of the service; that was the only downside. But, overall it was a great time with our church family and we also had a few guests last week that the Lord brought our way that I am told really enjoyed the change of pace.
The food at the potluck stayed nice and warm and the cold food stayed cold, and so that was a bonus as well. Sandy Stover’s cake-skills were on display once again and we thank her for providing such a wonderful way to celebrate the big day. Above all, throughout the challenges, hearts stayed warm and the fellowship was incredible as usual. Thanks to all who prepared the food😊
Next up on the “event” agenda is the Annual Fall Festival Fish Fry with The Homestead Pickers…YAY! We are finalizing plans toward that direction next as we reach out into our surrounding community. Be ready to step up how you can as we come together for that big day. Last year we had well over 100 in attendance and look for at least that many this time around in our second year.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.

Bro. Steven
