Good Morning Family,
Tonight, the Second Annual Community Fish Fry featuring The Homestead Pickers is coming your way. There is still time to invite friends and neighbors for a great time of encouragement for the community and our church family! I commend all of you for being so faithful and using the invite cards that were provided.
Our Special Events Team has been working very hard on this and for that we are truly grateful for them coming together and pulling off such a great evening. Be certain that you bring a jacket and a lawn chair. If you don’t have a lawn chair, you can use mine! I usually don’t sit very much at these events. You might have to talk me out of a jacket 😊.
Thanks to everyone last week who participated in the worship service in our absence, especially to Bro. Dale who pushed through some very hard physical circumstances to bring the Word to the flock. We are so incredibly blessed to have had him able to strongly preach the Gospel last week. The Lord answered our prayers.
Once again, thanks for allowing us to be away last weekend to lead in a retreat at a church near Kansas City and then to have a day of R&R with friends. It was good though to get back home here in Cape Fair and hit the ground running this past week. Everybody “gird your loins” because the holidays are right around the corner, and although it can be overly busy, let’s do our absolute best to keep our focus on the Lord.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
