From Your Pastor's Heart - October 24, 2021
October 24, 2021, 1:00 PM

Good Morning Family,

Today, we are going to share in a special time of final preparations for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry. This afternoon at 4:00pm we will gather in the Fellowship Hall and be given the tasks of filling the remainder of the boxes for shipment to children all across the world! Even if you have not been at any of the workdays or nights so far, we are asking all hands on deck for this event today. We are encouraging everyone that is able to come and to that end-that event will be our evening time together for today; so there will not be a study at 6:30pm since we are gathering at 4:00pm for this ministry endeavor.

Sunday October 31 st is designated as First Baptist Church Fall Family Day. We are setting aside this Sunday to emphasize the community ministry of FBCCF as we will run the bus that morning and pick up as many community kids which we minister to on Wednesday Nights and have a worship service where we will do a few of the worship songs that they sing on Wednesdays and a special message on family.

A team went out this past week and personally reached out to parents in the community to invite them to join us for worship to see what their kids are doing here at FBCCF and then encourage them to sit down with all of you at a wonderful Fried Chicken Luncheon that will be provided. It will be very important for the church family to stay, eat, and engage with our guests that morning and then at the luncheon. What a great opportunity for which we are praying!

One final note in regard to the Brittney Alsup Fundraiser dinner sponsored by the local Eagles Club… they sent out a corrected flyer that clears up the confusion regarding the date.. So here is the authoritative information: Benefit Dinner for Brittney and Chris Alsup is Sunday October 24 5-7PM You can get your Mexican food “to go” and I would encourage you to participate. FBCCF has been sending a meal to the family every Wednesday for a while now.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
