Good Morning Family!
We did it! Way to go everyone! The Lord enabled us to accomplish our Fifth Annual Fall Fish Fry. What a great day it was for all! This year was our largest to date with somewhere north of 225 in attendance. It is incredibly difficult to get an exact head count with people and little kids moving around and arriving at different times, but I stopped at that point as I didn’t want to accidentally count someone twice.
I am so proud of our Special Events Team and our helpers that were there from start to finish and those who were able to come help as they could. All of your contributions of time and love were greatly appreciated. Yes, there were a few people that were not from our area that attended. I met a couple who were vacationing from northern Michigan and had been at Silver Dollar City earlier in the day and the Pickers talked about the Fish Fry to guests there. So, they came out and spent the evening with us. It was great to visit with folks from so far away and I noticed the woman afterwards making it a point to talk to our servers and express her thanks. Those connections are awesome!
There were also more people from our area there this time than ever before. It was good to see our Cape Fair neighbors. All in all, a fantastic day and God gets all the glory!
This morning, we will continue our ongoing series, ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told” as we our look at part 2 of Jesus’ Parable of the Wedding Feast found in Matthew 22:1-14.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Dr. Steven Gann
