Good Morning Family!
There are simply no words to describe our heartfelt gratitude for last Sunday’s special events. Robin, Holly, and I were truly honored to have had such a wonderful expression of love sent our way. Your kind words, your sentiments of thankfulness, encouragement, and all the hugs were just about more than we could take in. We have never in our lives been honored in such a way and we are truly humbled by the generous gift and extreme amount of preparations and love that went into a great day in the life of our church family. Our deepest thanks to one and all.
It was a day of celebration indeed for all of us really. Because without the efforts of every member of the church family over the years, the ministries would not be where they are and our footprint in the community would not be as solid as it is. It is the work and labor of love of all of us put together that has allowed the Lord to lavishly bless this church with ministry accomplishments for His glory alone by His gracious hand.
Today, I am going to finish what I started last Sunday and speak to the issues of the day. I am not a prophet, nor am I a judge. I am, however, a shepherd, pastor, and teacher who is called to speak the truth of the Scriptures forthrightly, with compassion and clarity. Today, I will touch on subjects about which there are many opinions. However, opinion will not be what I am dealing with. It will be the Word of God in black and white… and red.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
