From Your Pastor's Heart - October 31, 2021

Good Morning Family,

This morning is Fall Family Day. We have been building toward this day for the past couple of months or so as we have been making announcements here to the church family and getting word out weekly to our students and their families. Two weeks ago,
four of the Wednesday Ministry leadership team went house to house on a Monday night  to try to find as many of our Wednesday Students’ parents’ home as possible. We were able to talk to many that night and personally invite them set aside this morning to come join their students and the FBCCF church family in worship.

For over 50 years, FBCCF has been actively sharing the Gospel in this community. Over this past year and a half, the ministry of First Baptist Church of Cape Fair has stepped up reaching out to the families in this community through Wednesday Ministries to their children. For the major part of 2020 and into 2021 meals were delivered weekly to make certain we didn’t lose contact during the time off from in-church meetings on Wednesdays and to meet needs during a difficult time when many were without work.

I want to say thank you to the many who have poured their time, talents, and/or resources into this vital ministry to our  community. You need to know that your labor of love is making a difference in the Kingdom of God and your service to families does not go unnoticed by the overall church family, the Lord, and many in the community. We always are certain to make sure that anything we do is not to tout First Baptist Church, but to bring honor to the Lord who gave His life on the cross for every individual in this community.

As I write this letter, I do not know how the turnout will be for Fall Family Day. But, to those in our community who choose to come this morning and join together in worship with the church that has invested so much into your kids’ lives, I extend a hearty
“Welcome!” and a grateful heart also says, “Thank You!” Weekly, volunteers from this church go out to you each week and so we are thankful you accepted our invite to come see us today.

Following this morning’s service, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall (the room where we feed the kids every week) and share in a meal that has been lovingly provided to say “thank you” for entrusting your students to our care weekly and allowing us to
teach them the Bible and to tell them how much God loves each one of them and that He has a wonderful plan for their lives, if only they will surrender to His call to follow Him.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
