Good Morning Family!
It has certainly been an eventful Fall so far and this next week we are gearing up for the Annual Fall Fish Fry. I want to thank everyone who has signed up to fix a salad, side, or dessert. This effort is an event that has reached people far and wide. It is something that people in our community have been asking me about lately while I am out among them.
Honestly, one of their biggest questions is, “Why do you all do that? It is such a big thing for the community.” I always just say we do it to be able to tell people in Cape Fair and those that come for the fish fry that God loves them and we want to make sure people know how much He really does. We do it all for Jesus that’s for sure!
Thanks to those who came to help out at our latest Shoebox Packing Workday this past Thursday. We are up to 207 boxes packed already and they are in the Sanctuary as we continue to work toward the goal of 500. There is still much work to be done, so keep the dates coming up in your calendar.
One last bit of housekeeping, since we are having the Fish Fry on the 12th, I simply cannot ask the church family to do a Business Meeting Potluck the very next weekend as scheduled. I am moving the Business Meeting to the first Sunday of November… November 2nd. We need a “breather”.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
