Good Morning Family!
Once again, we want to thank all of you for your prayers, meals, and encouragement during this time of recovery for Robin. As of this writing (Thursday morning), she is hoping to be at church today and playing music with us. This, of course is based upon what her doctor will say at her appointment on Friday the 20th (at this point two days ago).
Without repeating all that I said last week to thank everyone individually, I do want to express gratitude one more time for everyone who led in the service last week and especially Bro. Dale who spoke the Word to you while I was home with Robin. Thanks everyone!
Today, we jump back into “The Greatest Story Ever Told” sermon series. This is the overarching series that has been foundational to our Sunday Morning services since 2017. In it, we are walking verse by verse through the four Gospels at the same time, harmonizing them as necessary to glean every detail that we can as we look at the life of Jesus here on Earth. We pick up where we last left off in John 9 with the narrative of the healing of the man born blind. We covered part of this incident in the first Tuesday 1:3ABF this month, so I am looking forward to beginning back here for this morning.
Once again, the next main event coming up is the Ladies Fall Retreat themed, “God is in Your Story”. Our main speaker, Tarah Trautmann Spratt, comes with such a story to share of God’s faithfulness and presence in the life of her family. Also sharing in time of testimony will be Lori Munhollon and Christina Harris. Pray for your worship leaders as they will be getting in one of the final times of preparation later today and putting the finishing touches on the music for the sessions. These ladies have been working tirelessly for hours nearly weekly for months now in order to make the worship times meaningful for those who will be in attendance. Much prayer and preparation have been put into this event by the speakers and worship leaders.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
