Good Morning Family,
Today is Celebration Sunday! This morning we give thanks to the Lord for His miraculous provision in supplying through His people to pay off our note on the sanctuary building and the upper lot nearly a year earlier than expected. Before the Lord brought Robin, Holly, and I to Cape Fair, the church family at the time had taken on a task of erecting a new sanctuary due to difficulties with the original structure.
Seeing as how that period of change in the life of FBCCF was water under the bridge, the church family pressed forward these past more than nine years and asked the Lord to help us move forward together. He has done that in such grace-filled ways to draw this body of believers together in one accord in such a way as I have never seen a church function before. More than paying off a bank note, the coming together in ministry, purpose, and love in working together in this community has been the greatest miracle of all.
Faithfulness brings blessing and the Lord has blessed that faithfulness of His people in this ministry here with new brothers and sisters along the way who all make their own unique contributions to accomplishing His work in so many ways. This is the most unique church family of which I have ever been a part, daily shown in our way of always moving forward together. The blessing of camaraderie among us is the most amazing part of it all!
So, while we are indeed grateful that the bank note is PAID IN FULL, we are even more grateful to the Lord for the blessing of each other and how He continues to show His constant love and overflowing provision for us to do those things that He calls us to do… and that we always do it together in one accord.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
