Good Morning Family!
I’m not sure what the Lord is up to and how he works is many times unknowable. However, when things in the world get seemingly crazy, the Lord is always still in complete control and working in the nations to bring about the chronology of “future history” that will lead to the return of Jesus.
This has been a historic year in that we have seen several of those leaders He has raised up in the Kingdom to shape the church at large over the past fifty years be received up into Heaven as their time of earthly ministry drew to a close. I am speaking of Dr. James Dobson and Dr. John MacArthur, both of whom were giants in family and preaching ministry, who went to be with Christ in 2025.
And of course, the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk a few weeks ago shook the church and the nation and did not have the outcome that the Enemy would have liked. Instead, we have seen and will continue to see, I believe, revival and a rekindling of the Spirit as we see the many new leaders God will bring forth to stand in the very large gap left behind that Charlie filled. We will not be silenced by the prevailing evil in this world; we are all Charlie Kirk now!
Then, this past Friday, the Lord called Voddie Baucham home to Heaven at only 56 years of age. He has been a voice for the Kingdom among men and black men in particular calling Christians to be men of God, godly husbands to their wives, examples of Jesus to their children, and to become the leaders they need to be for the Church. He was recently installed as the first president of the Founders’ Seminary in Cape Coral, Florida. He was a bold and burning fire for the Lord all across the world.
So, if you are not familiar with some of these men of God, take the time to look them up online and listen to them as they have ministered over the years. Even though they are no longer in earthly ministry, their earthly ministry goes on and will for many years to come. Just as we are still able to listen to J. Vernon McGee (Through the Bible), M.R. DeHaan (Radio Bible Class now Our Daily Bread), Chuck Smith (The Word for Today), and Dr. Billy Graham (The Hour of Decision) to name a few; we will, if the Lord tarries still be listening to Grace to You with John MacArthur and still access the sermons of Voddie Baucham and the Turning Point USA ministry endeavors of Charlie Kirk.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
