Good Morning Family,
Well, September has arrived… and just in the nick of time! Prayerfully we are asking for a continued respite from the heat. But, the reality is that there are places that are experiencing some very severe weather challenges with wildfires, earthquakes, and hurricanes; not to mention tornadoes and flooding. Many of us know folks or have family in some of these affected areas and so we continue to pray for those affected by these tragedies. All of that said, a little heat has not been so bad in retrospect.
This morning in our service we have the son of Barney and Lori Munhollon, Rev. Jonas Crump. He will be bringing the message this morning and we are excited to hear what they Lord will share through him from the Word. He is the Mobilization Pastor at Midway Baptist Church in Pilot Point, Texas.
As we journey together into Fall, we have so many things on the calendar in the way of opportunities for serving the Lord through the ministry of His church. One of the next events on the way this month is a Celebration Potluck immediately after the morning service on Sunday, September 24th. We will gather that day to give glory to the Lord for supplying in miraculous ways to finally get the loan on the sanctuary and the upper lot purchase PAID IN FULL.
It has been a work in progress for about ten years and the Lord has seen us through every step of the way and has blessed us with several large gifts in the last few months which brough the balance down to $0! For that we are indeed grateful and thankful to Him for working through His people. So, mark your calendar for September 24 for Celebration Sunday.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
